Kept Until

Private living trust safekeeping

Your family will know where it is. Not what it says.

Store your living trust sealed. Change it as often as you like. When you pass, we verify the death and deliver the current version to your successor trustee, and only to them.

Every option you have today forces a bad choice.

Give your trust to family and they read it now. Hide it and they may never find it. Leave it with an attorney and it disappears when the firm closes or you move.

Hand it to family

They know who inherits what while you're still alive. Every future change becomes a family conversation.

Hide it at home

It gets lost, thrown out, or found by the wrong person. An outdated copy can surface instead of the real one.

Digital vault apps

They wait for family to come to them. If nobody knows the account exists, nothing is ever released.

How it works

1

Seal it

Upload your signed trust, or meet our notary to sign and seal it in one visit. You name your successor trustee and a backup.

2

Tell them where, not what

We mail a Notice of Sealed Trust to the people you choose. It proves a trust exists and how to claim it. It reveals nothing inside.

3

Change it anytime

Amend or restate whenever you want. Only your newest version is released. Old versions stay sealed in the record, never sent out by mistake.

4

We deliver it

After a certified death certificate is received and verified by a person, we contact your successor trustee directly and deliver the trust to them.

What makes Kept Until different

Released to the trustee, not whoever asks

Family members can report a death. Only your named successor trustee receives the document.

We check in with you

A yearly check-in by email and text. If you stop answering, we reach out to your emergency contact instead of waiting.

A real person verifies every release

No automated unlocks. A commissioned California notary reviews the death certificate and the trustee's ID.

Local and in person

Based in Los Angeles. Meet us to sign, notarize and seal in one appointment. Your original can be held, not just a scan.

Tamper protection

Only you can change your trust. We can prove it.

Every change has to pass five checks before it becomes the version your trustee receives.

ID verified when you join

Your identity is checked in person by a notary or through government ID verification before your vault opens.

Two-step sign-in, every time

Changes require a passkey or authenticator app, plus a fresh sign-in at the moment you submit them.

Notarized amendments

A new version is accepted only with a notarized signature, so a stolen password alone can never replace your trust.

7-day confirmation window

We email and text you when a new version arrives. It only becomes current if you don't dispute it within 7 days.

Permanent, sealed history

Each version is fingerprinted and time-stamped in a record that can't be edited or deleted, by anyone, including us.

No one else can edit

Family and trustees can only report a death. Staff actions need two people to approve and are logged.

For estate planning attorneys

Never lose track of a client's trust again.

Seal each trust at signing under your firm's name. When a client passes, you and their successor trustee are notified together, so the administration work comes back to your office.

  • Your firm's name on every notice card
  • On-site notary for trust and deed signings
  • Alerts to your office when a death is reported
  • Your client keeps control of amendments
